A confrontation with the Financial Services Agency has hindered Tokyo Stock Exchange Inc.'s plans to list its own shares on the TSE by the end of this fiscal year.
The FSA is demanding that an independent body be set up to monitor stock trading on the TSE.
Political sources said the TSE and the FSA will resume discussions on the matter this fall, though there are turbulent waters to cross before the share listing materializes.
