Textile maker Teijin Ltd. will cooperate with U.S. outdoor clothing company Patagonia Inc. to recycle polyester clothing in the United States and Japan starting next month, Teijin officials said.
Osaka-based Teijin already has recycling operations with about 70 domestic apparel makers and trading firms, the officials said.
This will be the first between a Japanese textile maker and a U.S. manufacturer.
