Shiseido Co., Kose Corp. and Kao Corp. have joined the bidding process to sponsor the rehabilitation of Kanebo Ltd. and Kanebo Cosmetics Inc. along with U.S. consumer products giant Procter & Gamble Co., cosmetic house L'Oreal SA of France and U.S. investment fund RHJ International SA, sources said Thursday.
Thus more than 10 Japanese and foreign companies have told the Industrial Revitalization Corp. of Japan that they will take part in the bidding, the sources said.
RHJ International was formerly called Ripplewood Holdings LLC, which in 2000 purchased Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan, now known as Shinsei Bank.
