A public symposium on how ordinary people can assist international cooperation activities based on the experiences of the European Union and Japan will be held July 14 in Yokohama.
The event, commemorating the 2005 EU-Japan Year of People to People Exchanges, will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the sixth floor of the Yokohama International Organizations Center, a three-minute walk from Minatomirai Station on the Minatomirai Line. A one-hour exchange party will follow.
Speakers will include members of nongovernmental organizations based in Britain, the Netherlands, Italy and Japan.
Admission is 500 yen, which includes the fee for documents as well the party. Eighty people will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
