"Spirituality and Artistry Forged in Steel" is the way Japanese swords are introduced at a museum in southern California, and their beauty and craftsmanship are once again piquing the interest of American visitors.

Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena is hosting an exhibition of Japanese swords — "The Japanese Sword: The Yoshihara Tradition of Sword-makers" — from March 19 to June 19, and people from all over the country have been coming to get a glimpse of the exotic masterpieces.

The museum decided to hold the special exhibit because "the Japanese sword is the most efficient, intrinsically beautiful, meticulously hand-crafted icon in the world," museum officials said in a statement.
