Nissan Motor Co. launched the Otti on Tuesday as its third entry in the minivehicle market.
The Otti, supplied by ailing Mitsubishi Motors Corp. on an original equipment basis, is part of the automaker's plan to sell 3.597 million units worldwide within a year through the end of September as stated under its "Nissan 180" three-year business plan, announced in May 2002.
As of March, Nissan had sold about 1.81 million minicars worldwide.
