The deaths of two more Japanese citizens were confirmed Sunday in southern Thailand, bringing the Japanese death toll to 20 from the tsunamis triggered by the Dec. 26 earthquake off Indonesia's Sumatra Island, the Foreign Ministry said.
The bodies, identified by their relatives at a morgue in Krabi, near Phuket, were those of Masae Delvallet Suzuki, 51, and her 4-year-old son, Nicolas Delvallet, the ministry said.
Sources said the two had gone missing on the Thai resort island of Phi Phi during a tour arranged by a local travel agency.
