Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. said Monday it has received an order for three steam turbines to be installed at Italian power utility Enel SpA's plant in Lazio, northwest of Rome.
The order stemmed from Enel's plan to replace boilers at the Torrevaldaliga Nord power plant in Lazio, the company said. The turbines are each capable of generating 680 megawatts.
Enel is replacing the boilers at the plant's No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 generation units in line with a plan to convert their fuel to coal from oil, to diversify energy sources for electricity.
