Nisshin Seifun Group Inc. said Wednesday a new flour mill built by its Canadian subsidiary, Rogers Foods Ltd., will start operations Dec. 6 and double the subsidiary's annual production to 100,000 tons by fiscal 2006.

With the completion of its second flour mill, Rogers Foods' shipping area will expand from Canada to the rest of North America as well as Asian markets, including Hong Kong and Taiwan, Nisshin Seifun said.

The new flour mill, situated near Vancouver, British Columbia, was built at a cost of 1.6 billion yen.
