Japan said Tuesday it will extend $4.83 million in aid to the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, government officials said.
From that total, $3.83 million will be used to cover the operational costs of the U.N. body known as UNRWA, while $400,000 will be used to renovate schools for Palestinian refugee children, $100,000 for a scholarship program and $500,000 for computers and other educational programs.
