Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. said Tuesday it has received an order from Japanese-Italian joint venture CMS&A for a large liquefied natural gas storage tank in Qatar.
The contract with the venture of Chiyoda Corp. and Italy's Snamprogetti SpA, both major engineering firms, was concluded under a consortium with VINCI of France. It will mark MHI's fourth LNG tank installation in Qatar.
Under the contract, MHI will build an aboveground 140,000-kiloliter storage tank within the Ras Laffan Industrial City, 80 km north of Doha.
