Nihon Keizai Shimbun Inc. said Tuesday it will replace three constituent stocks in its key 225-issue Nikkei stock average, effective Oct. 1.
To be added to the market barometer are Nippon Meat Packers Inc., advertising titan Dentsu Inc. and Softbank Corp., the nation's largest Internet portal operator, the publisher of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun economic daily said.
Three companies will be removed from the index. They are alcoholic beverage producer Mercian Corp., Nachi-Fujikoshi Corp., a major manufacturer of bearings and tools, and Nippon Sharyo Ltd., the nation's top rolling stock maker, it said.
