Tokyo prosecutors indicted former state minister Jitsuo Inagaki on Thursday on charges of running an unauthorized investment scheme, they said.
Inagagi, 76, and four others are charged with collecting 24 million yen from 27 investors, mainly elderly people, through an investment consulting company by promising high returns between May and December 2002, the prosecutors said.
