The government on Friday revised industrial production in April upward to a seasonally adjusted 3.5 percent expansion on a month-on-month basis from a preliminary 3.3 percent expansion.
The index of production at mines and factories came to 101.2 against the 2000 base of 100, compared with the initial figure of 101.0, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said.
The index of shipments was also revised upward to 103.1 from 103.0 in the preliminary report, rising 4.0 percent from the previous month compared with the earlier reported 3.9 percent increase.
The index of inventories grew 1.4 percent to 91.3, unchanged from the initial report.
