Japan Post and China's State Postal Bureau have agreed to aim to double mail services between the two countries in the next three years, Japan Post said Wednesday.
The value of mail from Japan to China in terms of postal charges is expected to grow to 20 billion yen in the 2006 fiscal year from 10 billion yen in fiscal 2003 via steps such as easing weight limits for mail items, it said.
The two sides have postponed signing an agreement on a business tieup.
