The government will launch an ad campaign in the U.S. next week to promote investment in Japan, timed to coincide with the the Group of Eight summit on Sea Island, Ga., officials said Tuesday.
Japan will place ads and run TV commercials in the U.S. — including in the Wall Street Journal and on CNN — next Tuesday, the opening day of the three-day G8 summit.
The ads will state that investment in Japan serves as "a gateway to businesses in Asia," according to the officials.
