The government remained upbeat in its overall economic assessment for May, with recent economic growth data showing the economy is picking up faster than many analysts had expected following a decade-long period of stagnation.
In a monthly report released Friday, the Cabinet Office meanwhile upgraded its view on the employment situation, the first upward revision in three months.
But the report warns that the possible risks of record-high oil prices could trouble the global economy in the future.
