Most of Japan's major automakers on Monday reported increased global production in March due to rising demand, but troubled Mitsubishi Motors Corp. announced a decline in last month's output.
Worldwide production for Japan's top automaker, Toyota Motor Corp., jumped 18.8 percent to 627,539 vehicles in March compared with the same month a year ago, the company said.
Its domestic production rose 10 percent on year to 354,257 vehicles in March -- the second straight month of increases.
