As the first female executive officer of All Nippon Airways Co., Junko Yamauchi believes her mission is to improve communication between management and flight attendants.
Yamauchi was appointed as the airline's senior vice president in charge of in-flight services on April 1, making her the highest-ranked female executive in the nation's airline industry.
She said that while her appointment came as a complete surprise, she is determined to fulfill her mission to help the carrier better reflect customers' needs.
