Retail prices of domestic and imported beef fell in the week that ended last Friday for the third straight week, the farm ministry said Monday.
The average retail price per 100 grams of domestically produced chilled loin beef fell 5 yen, or 0.7 percent, from the previous week to 677 yen, while that of imported chilled beef fell 6 yen, or 1.6 percent, to 369 yen, the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Ministry said.
