The ministry, which had earlier advised Japanese nationals not to travel to Istanbul following a series of bombings in November of the British Consulate and other facilities there, in now urging Japanese nationals traveling to and living in the Turkish city to be fully alert for terrorism.
It said there had been a possibility that terrorist attacks could again happen immediately after the November incident, but there are no signs of continuous attacks now.
