The Liberal Democratic Party has lifted its boycott of TV Asahi and will allow party executives to appear on the broadcaster's programs.
LDP Secretary General Shinzo Abe will appear Sunday on TV Asahi's "Sunday Project" program, which features discussions between politicians and experts. The LDP lifted the boycott for rank-and-file party members Tuesday.
The LDP imposed the boycott because it felt that the network made unbalanced reports on the House of Representatives election held Nov. 9 and the LDP presidential election in September.
