Yahoo Japan Corp. said Thursday it has established a joint firm with Recruit Co. to operate a Web site for people seeking employment, especially part-time work.

The new company, Indival Inc., will list job-seekers' details, including the days and locations they want to work, as well as their qualifications and experience, on the Web site so that companies in need of part-time employees can find suitable staff.

The service is expected to begin in June, a Yahoo Japan spokesman said. It will be combined with a Yahoo! Recnavi site, which also will be operated by Yahoo Japan and Recruit. That site will list information submitted by companies seeking part-time staff.

Indival, which has a workforce of 11, is capitalized at 200 million yen and is owned 60 percent by Yahoo Japan and 40 percent by Recruit.
