The greatest number of respondents to a government survey released Friday accessed the Internet in 2003 using digital subscriber line services, such as asymmetrical digital subscriber line services.
According to the average result of monthly surveys conducted on about 30,000 households in 2003, 33.9 percent of respondents who used the Internet said they accessed the Web through ADSL, followed by 26.1 percent who dialed up.
Of the Internet users surveyed by the Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications Ministry, 19.5 percent said they accessed the Internet through integrated services digital networks and 12.6 percent said they did so through cable TV networks.
The average result of monthly surveys in 2002 showed 36.2 percent of Internet users dialed up to access the Internet, followed by 26.2 percent who used ISDN and 18.5 percent who did so through digital subscriber lines, the ministry said.
