Honda Motor Co. and General Electric Co. said Monday they have agreed to jointly commercialize a new turbofan jet engine for small business planes.
Honda has been working on research and development of jet engines and aircraft since 1986, and began conducting test flights in December of the new HF118 engine on its own small business jets.
U.S.-based GE is the world's leading manufacturer of jet engines.
