About six years ago, Lilith Takahashi began performing a solo Japanese play based on her experience of sexual harassment at a U.S. university in the early 1980s.
On Friday, she will stage her first English performance of the 40-minute drama "Watashi wa Iki Nokotta" ("I Have Survived") in Tokyo.
"I wanted to perform this play in English from the beginning," Takahashi said. "This is a kind of experiment for me to see how foreigners will react to my play in English and my messages that I express in it."
