The Japanese media and public are focusing too much on the southern Iraqi city of Samawah where Ground Self-Defense Force troops are being deployed, a Japanese nongovernmental aid group said Friday.
Kenichiro Nakajima, one of the two aid workers dispatched to Baghdad by the Japan International Volunteer Center, told reporters in Tokyo that the two hospitals for children that the group supports face a severe shortage of doctors and medicine.
The group works in Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan and other conflict zones.
