Japan's tax revenues in November fell 1 percent from a year earlier to 6.491 trillion yen, the Finance Ministry said Friday.

Cumulative tax revenues from the start of fiscal 2003 in April through November came to 21.749 trillion yen, down 1.7 percent from the same period last year, the ministry said.

In November, income tax revenues rose 0.1 percent to 1.295 trillion yen, but corporate tax revenues fell 1.3 percent to 2.711 trillion yen.

The overall tax revenue figure for fiscal 2003 is projected at 41.786 trillion yen.
