Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. said Friday it has agreed with two Chinese companies to jointly develop a television broadcast production system based on its semiconductor memory card technology.
The two Chinese firms are China Central Television (CCTV), the largest broadcasting station in China, and Dayang Technology Development Inc., a maker of professional broadcasting equipment.
Under the agreement, the TV broadcast production system will be developed with Matsushita's P2 semiconductor memory technology and nonlinear network technology to integrate news-gathering, editing, content delivery and archiving processes for CCTV's news and documentary programs.
