Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi has taped TV and DVD advertisements as part of a government campaign to attract more foreign direct investment to Japan, government officials said.
Recorded in the prime minister's office, Koizumi says in the TV commercial that Japan wants foreign companies to invest in it, saying in English, "Japan has everything you need and we want to help your success."
The 60-second spot will appear on CNN and other channels starting in February. The DVD version will be distributed to participant companies in symposiums and seminars on promoting foreign direct investment in Japan, the officials said.
