Pachinko machine maker Sammy Corp. said Monday it will acquire a 22.4 percent stake in Sega Corp., becoming the largest shareholder in the game maker.
The decision comes seven months after a botched merger between the two firms.
Sammy said it agreed with CSK Corp. to buy its Sega stake for 45.33 billion yen, placing Japan's biggest arcade-machine maker under its wing.
