Snow Brand Milk Products Co. on Wednesday reported a group net profit for the half year to Sept. 30, citing intense restructuring efforts.
This marks a turnaround from the previous year's hefty loss, which resulted from a series of food scandals involving the firm.
In its interim earnings report, the company said its net profit stood at 392 million yen, compared with a loss of 45.36 billion yen in the same period the previous year. It also posted a pretax profit of 1.59 billion yen, against a loss of 13.88 billion yen a year earlier.
