A 23-year-old woman in Tokyo has been granted access to part of her elementary school records -- nine years after asking to see the whole document.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered Ota Ward, Tokyo, to disclose only sections of the woman's guidance record, overturning a high court ruling that had approved of the local authority's nondisclosure decision.
The records the court ordered disclosed show the plaintiff's learning skills graded in numerical terms. The woman's name is being withheld.
