The Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that the identities of private citizens who dined at the Osaka Municipal Government's expense will remain a secret.
But the names and titles of civil servants who shared the same benefits can be revealed, according to the top court.
The case was sent back to the Osaka High Court, which had upheld an order to release the names and titles of all people wined and dined by the municipal government.
