Denso Corp., an auto-parts maker affiliated with Toyota Motor Corp., reported Tuesday a record group pretax profit on record sales for the fiscal first half, which ended Sept. 30.
Denso attributed the record pretax profit and sales to increased exports of auto parts for overseas production by Japanese automakers, and increased sales in North and South America and Europe as a result of increased local production by Japanese automakers there.
