Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi on Wednesday refused to rule out naming his rivals for the LDP presidency as members of any future Cabinet or as party executives.
Koizumi is widely expected to win Saturday's race for the helm of the Liberal Democratic Party, beating out the challenge of Shizuka Kamei, Takao Fujii and Masahiko Komura.
In an open debate session with junior LDP lawmakers, Koizumi was asked how he would treat the three contenders and their supporters within the party in the wake of the election.
