Takeda Chemical Industries Ltd., the nation's top drugmaker, on Friday reported record earnings and revenue for fiscal 2002, despite a cut in prescription drug prices.
The Osaka-based firm said its group net profit grew 15.3 percent to 271.76 billion yen, marking a ninth consecutive record year.
It attributed the rise to strong worldwide sales of four mainstay drugs.
