Japan Airlines System Corp. revealed Friday that it could lose revenue of 162 billion yen during the current fiscal year due to a drastic fall in passengers on international flights.
The company blamed the massive falloff on the adverse effects of the war in Iraq and the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome through parts of Asia.
These negative factors are likely to wipe out about 115.5 billion yen from the group's operating profit.
