Softbank Corp. said Friday its group net loss worsened in the year through March 31 due to hefty outlays to attract new subscribers to its broadband Internet service.
The Internet business investment firm, which is continuing an aggressive campaign to expand its subscriber population, did not promise a return to profitability for the current fiscal year.
Softbank, owned by billionaire entrepreneur Masayoshi Son, does not disclose its earnings outlook.
