The Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission has questioned Goro Tatsumi, president of the Osaka Securities Exchange, about allegations that the exchange conducted wash sales via a now-disbanded affiliate, sources said Thursday.
The nation's securities watchdog has also questioned Takuo Noguchi, a former vice chairman of the OSE, the sources said.
Tatsumi has denied being questioned.
