Japan Highway Public Corp. said Monday it has decided to raise gasoline prices along expressways across the country, following an increase in retail gasoline prices triggered by the Iraq war.

The new price of high-octane unleaded gasoline, effective Tuesday, is 115 yen per liter, up 3 yen. That of regular gasoline stands 103 yen, up 3 yen, while the price of diesel oil has increased 2 yen to 83 yen.

In Okinawa Prefecture the new price of high-octane unleaded gasoline stands at 112 yen, up 9 yen; that of regular gasoline stands at 101 yen, up 10 yen; and that of diesel oil stands at 84 yen, up 6 yen.
