Sales of used motor vehicles totaled 434,583 units in February, up 0.6 percent for the second consecutive year-on-year increase, the Japan Automobile Dealers Association said Wednesday.
Despite the sales growth, the market for used vehicles remains tough due to a shortage of products available for sale, an association official said, referring to consumers' longer ownership of new cars.
Sales of midsize and large cars were brisk, while those of small cars and trucks were slack.
