Yahoo Japan Corp., the Japan unit of U.S. Internet portal Yahoo Inc., plans to launch a Web site creation service targeting companies and municipalities, company officials said Monday.
The new service is aimed at creating professionally designed, user-friendly Web sites, the officials said.
Yahoo has already created an in-house Web site for Panasonic Mobile Communications Co. The new site was launched Jan. 1, targeting some 3,500 employees, they said.
Users of Yahoo's service can customize their site according to their interests.
