OSAKA -- Hundreds of present and former students of an elementary school where seven pupils were fatally stabbed in June 2001 bid a fond farewell to the school buildings Sunday.
Osaka Kyoiku University Ikeda Elementary School, in the city of Ikeda, will be renovated as part of efforts to ease the painful memories of the massacre.
The suspect, Mamoru Takuma, 38, allegedly injured another 13 children and two teachers in the attack on June 8, 2001.
