Economic and Fiscal Policy Minister Heizo Takenaka will visit Italy from Wednesday to Sunday to attend an international conference on world political and economic issues, the Cabinet Office said Tuesday.
The conference, to be held in the northern Italian city of Como, will be attended by leading figures in the political and business circles of European and other countries, the office said.
Takenaka is expected to join a session Friday to discuss the global economic outlook. He will exchange views with economic experts, including Fred Bergsten, director of the U.S. Institute for International Economics, the office said.
