The Osaka Securities Exchange on Wednesday announced measures to stimulate trading on the Nasdaq Japan Market, including the exemption of membership fees for companies that are considered to be promising.
OSE President Goro Tatsumi told a news conference in Tokyo that the OSE will exempt companies deemed as having high growth potential from annual membership fees for a certain period after they are listed on the market.
The move is apparently designed to dissuade listed companies from leaving after Nasdaq Japan Inc. terminates its contract with the OSE in October.
