Japan, South Korea and the United States will hold high-level talks in Seoul on Sept. 7 to discuss issues relating to North Korea, the Foreign Ministry announced Friday.
The three countries held a similar meeting in June in San Francisco, where they expressed their desire for a humanitarian solution to the North Korean refugee issue.
The trilateral meeting will follow this month's Cabinet-level talks between North and South Korea, a meeting of the Red Cross societies of Japan and North Korea, and a high-level diplomatic meeting between Japan and North Korea, scheduled for Sunday and Monday in Pyongyang.
