Pop musician Fumiya Fujii was injured while swimming in Hawaii during a summer break and will postpone several concerts scheduled for later this month until the fall, his agency said Thursday.
Fujii, 40, hurt his arms and shoulders Sunday while vacationing with his family and will need about three weeks to recover before he resumes his musical activities, the agency said.
It said the pop musician, known for hit singles such as "True Love," is expected to return to the stage on Aug. 31 for a concert in Kumamoto Prefecture.
According to the agency, he was diagnosed as suffering from temporary peripheral nerve disorder.
Fujii's injury means several dates on his "Fumiya Fujii Tour 2002 The Party" concert tour, which began last month, will be changed, with six concerts in Osaka, Kanagawa and Fukuoka prefectures planned for between next Wednesday and Aug. 29 being moved to between Oct. 4 and Nov. 1.
