Business confidence showed a dramatic quarter-on-quarter improvement in the April-June period due to a pickup in exports and production, according to a government report released Friday.
The Business Survey Index ascended 22 points to sit at minus 14 in the reporting quarter, remaining mired in negative territory for the sixth consecutive quarter, the Cabinet Office said.
However, the BSI for the July-September quarter shows a minus 4, to be followed by a 12 in the October-December period.
