OSAKA -- Osaka municipal authorities will inspect Universal Studios Japan, possibly Friday, in connection with the theme park's admission that one of its drinking fountains was dispensing unsterilized water meant for industrial purposes.
The inspection, prompted by concerns over the overall quality of drinking water in the park, will be conducted before USJ Co., which runs the park in Osaka's Konohana Ward, produces a report on the case, the officials said.
"We cannot trust the water-quality data obtained from USJ," a city official said. "We need to inspect all potable water in the park."
